About Us
Our mission: Devoted to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities through individualized employment services
Parents Alliance Employment Project (PAEP) supports individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in finding meaningful employment and becoming part of their communities. We offer programs and services for job seekers, employers, and have 3 Project SEARCH programs, and our Inspired by Ability program. Our service areas include DuPage, Cook, DeKalb, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, Lake, and Will Counties.
Founded in 1982 by parent volunteers, PAEP grew out of the desire to create better opportunities when sheltered workshops were the only employment option for their young adults. They fought for mainstream education and community inclusion.
PAEP believes that all individuals have the right to work and live as active members of their communities. We are dedicated to integration and building strong community partnerships to help individuals achieve their employment goals.
