Center For Independence + Working Together Chicago
This program is designed to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are ready for competitive, integrated employment.

Our Mission: To help children and young adults with physical disabilities maximize their independence.
We accomplish our mission by offering affordable intensive therapy in a Conductive Education setting. We develop motor functions through neuroplasticity in a manner that promotes positive selfβesteem and an βI Can!β attitude.
The Center’s intensive motor therapy program helps people with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and other motor disorders achieve their highest potential. The CDC estimates that about 1 in every 323 children in the US has Cerebral Palsy (CP). Sadly, many children are not receiving therapy because of insurance or income limitations. The Center is committed to providing services to children and young adults regardless of insurance or income level. The Center has never turned a child or family away due to inability to pay. The Center has provided over 15 million dollars in charitable services to ensure full participation.
The Center offers intensive physical and occupational therapy programs utilizing the principles of Conductive Education. Our team of highly trained professionals of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Conductive Education Teachers, work together to provide individualized treatment plans within a peer-driven setting, to help achieve developmental milestones. Our goal is to ensure all children achieve their highest level of independence in the home, school and community through developing a strong “I Can!” Attitude: where they believe in their own ability and recognize there is no limit to learning on their journey towards independence!
