Opportunity House is a full service organization for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities (18 years of age and older). We offer community and facility based day services, vocational services, residential services (24 hour/Intermittent and Family CILA), a Community Living Facility along with Home Base Self Directed Supports, Special Olympics and Recreation Services. Our primary Service Area is northern DeKalb County. We are dedicated to integration and community partnerships such as 4-H, Kiwanis Action Club, NIU Speech and Hearing Clinic along with Kishwaukee College and our Learning for Life educational program.
We have been in operation for over 60 years and are considered a suburban community with a nice blend of rural and urban features.
